The Ugandan Ambassador for Diaspora Affairs; Hajji Abbey Walusimbi has urged Ugandans abroad to concentrate on the purposes of their interests rather than protests to which he says would block travel opportunities for other Ugandans. Walusimbi made the remarks in an interview with UBC at his office in Kampala.

The Minister for Relief and Disaster Preparedness in the Prime Minister’s Office Eng. Hillary Onek has commended the role played by Windle International Trust towards their dedication to the education the refugee and other marginalized communities in Uganda. This was in a message delivered on his behalf by the Ag. Commissioner for Refugees Douglas Asimwe, at the launch of the James Aryam Refugee Scholarship Program At Four Points Hotel Kampala , in memory of the late Windle International Executive Director James Aryam, who spearheaded higher education among refugee communities in Uganda.

Robinson Mwenda has been crowned overall winner of the April Stanbic Uganda golf club monthly mug after scoring a nett of 66 in the competition. the monthly mug held this Saturday at the Uganda golf course in kitante had about over 200 golfers take part from Uganda and Nakuru -kenya. other notable winners were Paul Nuwagaba 72 nett, Sam Sejjaka 70 nett, peace Kabasweka 72 nett and Susan Tashobya 71 nett among others. at the 19th hole, the club celebrated Gen George Owyino who is relocating to Kenya and hence leaving the club.

Life of a 35-year old man in Uganda is usually a stage of establishing oneself and starting up a family. But for Tommy Dyabe this was not the case as he suffered a road accident that nearly ended his life in 2015. Nine years on, Dyabe is clamped down in a wheelchair chocking on both physical and emotional pain in addition to exorbitant medical expenses yet without any meaningful source of income. Worse still is that Dyabe is yet to get justice from those who caused this predicament upon him despite efforts to seek redress in the courts of law.
